Event Description
The Women’s Studies Program Lehman College, CUNY, Spring Lecture Series: "Imaging Women: Model, Muse, Image Maker..." In Celebration of Women's History Month, this talk will examine some of the most art historically relevant images of women, and explore ideas of authorship, definition and control of ideals of feminine beauty. Particular attention will be paid to developments within twentieth-century linguistic theories and feminist writings. Gina Dominique Hersey, Associate Dean of the School of Arts & Humanities and Associate Professor of Art at Lehman College, CUNY, will present on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 12:30-2PM in Carman Hall, Room 221.
