Event Description
Sociologist Mary Patillo, Ph.D. (Northwestern) will be presenting a talk in the Sociology Department, titled "Race, Class and the Politics of School Choice." Dr. Pattillo is the author of two award winning books, Black Picket Fences (U. of Chicago Press, 1999) and Black on the Block (U. of Chicago, Press 2007), and is currently a Strauss Fellow at NYU. All are welcome.
