Event Description
The North American Congress on Latin America's (NACLA) Report on the Americas: Latino New York examines the new Latin boom. Lehman College faculty is well-represented in this publication:
Andrés Torres (Latin American, Latino, and Puerto Rican Studies) offers an introduction about New York’s steadily-growing Hispanic population and Alyshia Gálvez (Latin American, Latino, and Puerto Rican Studies and CUNY Institute of Mexican Studies) considers the role of public prenatal care on undocumented immigrants in “Strivers into Patients: How Public Prenatal Care May Disempower Future Citizens.”
Journalist and Columbia University lecturer Ed Morales and NACLA Report Editor Fred Rosen will also present.
