| Theatre: "Romeo and Juliet" |
|
Event Description The Theatre & Dance Programs are proud to present Romeo & Juliet by William Shakespeare in a 90-minute adaptation directed by Prof. David Sullivan.
Romeo & Juliet opens Wednesday, March 13 at 3:30 p.m. and runs through Sunday, March 17 at 3 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday performances are at 7 p.m. A special matinee performance will be held on Friday, March 15 at 11 a.m.
All performances will take place at the Lovinger Theater. All performances are free of charge for Lehman students with valid identification.
Inspired by the music of Italian singer-songwriter and rapper Jovanotti, this
production of William Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy of love and death is set in a contemporary, imagined Verona beset by violence and fueled by youthful passions. An ensemble of 18 student actors and dancers perform in this movement-driven production, featuring dance choreography by Assistant Professor Amy Larimer and fight choreography by guest artist Carlo Rivieccio. Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity and join us!
