Event Description
Elaine Auyoung is a Mellon Postdoctoral Associate in the English Department of Rutgers University. She is completing a book entitled "Missing Fiction: The Feeling of Reaiism." Among other publications, she has a forthcoming essay on "Rethinking the Reality Effect" in The Oxford Handbook of Cognitive Literary Studies.

This is the first CUNY Victorian seminar of the Spring. The talk begins at 6:30 but we bring out the wine and nibbles at 6:00 if you want to come and socialize. After the talk we take the speaker out to dinner at a local Irish pub and invite all who attend to join us
