Event Description The Reading and Discussion Series featuring John Locke will be held in the Leonard Lief Library at Lehman College. Professor John Locke teaches in Lehman's Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences and the CUNY doctoral program. He has published over 130 articles and chapters and books, including The Child’s Path to Spoken Language, published by Harvard University Press in 1993, and Eavesdropping: An Intimate History, published by Oxford University Press in 2010.
Duels and Duets (2011) examines the differences in communication styles between men and women. It takes us on a journey – from human evolution through ancient history to the present – revealing why men and women speak as they do to achieve distinct goals. |
