WHEN: September 24, 2014, 12:30-2PM WHERE: Speech & Theatre B20 WHO: Ni'Ja Whitson Adebanjo, Lecturer, Dance & Theatre Department TALK: A Meditation on Tongues: Re/Imagining Black & Queer Masculinities OVERVIEW: This talk will engage gender and sexuality as a site; an embodied locale by which to (re)vision the political/cultural work of Black Queer artists of the 1980s and 1990s. Here, we question the appropriation of language, gender, sexuality, toward a reconstruction of Spirit and the Self.
