1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
CUNY Consortium on Food and Housing Insecurity with Dr. Sara Goldrick-Rab
Join us for the release of Dr. Sara Goldrick-Rab's latest major study of food and housing insecurity at CUNY, followed by a discussion on introducing better policies and practices to address basic needs security across the University.

This event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Goldrick-Rab is professor of Higher Education Policy and Sociology at Temple University, and the Founder of the Hope Center for College, Community, and Justice in Philadelphia, as well as the Wisconsin HOPE Lab. She describes herself as a scholar-activist whose mission is to "identify novel approaches to making higher education the accessible and affordable place that families want and need it to be."

To this end, she has led more than a dozen experimental, longitudinal, and mixed-methods studies, examining the efficacy and distributional implications of financial aid policies, welfare reform, transfer practices, and a range of interventions aimed at increasing college attainment among marginalized populations.

Sponsored by the Herbert H. Lehman Food Bank, CUNY Central Office of Student Affairs, and Lehman College.
