Event Description: The Lehman College and Community Chorus presents its annual free Spring Concert. Directed by Lehman
Professor Diana Mittler-Battipaglia and accompanied by the Lehman Symphony Orchestra, the 120 member chorus will perform excerpts from Brahms' German Requiem, and shorter works by Samuel Barber, Randall Thompson, as well as a medley from Gershwin's Porgy and Bess. Featured soloists will be Lehman Music major Johana Gracia-Lara, soprano, and Lehman Music alumnus Darian Worrell, bass.
The program will also include the Poem for Flute and Orchestra by Charles Griffes, featuring Lehman Music major Adam Ray, flute soloist. Members of the chorus and soloists include Lehman students, alumni, faculty, staff, and a broad selection of residents from many communities in the Bronx and the greater New York area. |
