Celebrating the Life of Ntozake Shange: An Evening of Poetry, Performance

Event Description:
The Women’s Studies Program and English Department will celebrate the life of award-winning author Ntozake Shange with a special evening dedicated to poetry, performance, and music. Shange was an American playwright and poet frequently recognized for her play "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/ When the Rainbow Is Enuf."

The program will feature performances by Cassandra Cato-Louis, claude e. sloan, Arturo Lindsay, Mariposa Fernandez, Chandra Grosvenor Brown, Flemmie Kittrell-Williams, Luz Rodriguez, and Susan Watson Turner.
