The Revolution Has Come: Black Power, Gender, and the Black Panther Party in Oakland

The Lehman College International Socialist Organization will host a special talk with History Professor Robyn Spencer, titled "The Revolution Has Come: Black Power, Gender, and the Black Panther Party in Oakland." Professor Spencer will discuss her new book on women in the Black Panther party.

International Women and Peace Speaker Series
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Lehman College will host a special an International Women and Peace Speaker series, titled "Women, Peace, and Education." The presentation speaks to a girl-child's right to education; the impact of war and conflict on the equality of education, and the role of women and men in the peace process follows one year in the life of the first all-girls school in an Afghan village. Guest Speaker: Zama Neff, Executive Director, Children's Rights Division, Human Rights Watch.
