Lecture/ Demonstration: Indian Tabla
Guest artist Dibyarka Chatterjee gives a lecture/demonstration of Indian tabla drums. Mr. Chatterjee has had the honor of performing with renowned musicians including Pandit Jasraj, Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khan, Ustad Shujaat Khan, Pandit Ramesh Misra, and many others. He has also collaborated in world music projects with the Dance Theatre of Harlem, and Battery Dance Company, and with fusion musician/composer John McDowell on the award winning documentary "A Son's Sacrifice," Gary Lucas and Najma Akhtar, and musician composer Salman Ahmad's Junoon Project.

CNN En EspaƱol: Deportados Screening

Lehman College Presents a Special Screening of CNN en Español Documentary “Deportados”

 

The film tells the story of undocumented immigrants and Dreamers living illegally in the United States.
 It will be followed by a panel discussion about DACA and Dreamers.
