All Day | Virtual Reality Training Academy (Multi-Day Event)
The Virtual Reality Training Academy teaches the skills needed to create Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality applications for industry and education covering many diverse fields, including: architecture, product visualization, game creation, multimedia design, and broadcast media.
Come and network with your peers and know more about our next VR program starting in spring 2020. You will have the chance to speak to the instructor(s) and former participants. A 15-week/180 hour course, on immersive media. Composed of eight modules, the course will focus on the Unity platform as the means to developing content for Augmented and Virtual Reality. Students will receive a Lehman College certificate and badge. | |

Lehman College's Music Program to host the Nineteenth Annual Concerto Competition
Named in memory of Professor Jerome G. Sala, the competition is open to any high
school student musician who plays a
woodwind, brass, or mallet percussion instrument, and who resides in the
lower Hudson Valley region, including New York City, Long Island,
Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Northern New Jersey.
Applicants
must
present a solo suitable for performance with wind band, such as Haydn's
Trumpet Concerto or Chaminade's Concertino for Flute. The winner will
receive a $500 prize and will perform his/her solo with the Lehman
College & Community Band in concert on Sunday, May 17, 2020. Judging
is based both on technical skill and artistic presentation.

Winner of the 1998 PEN Center West Award for Drama, and inspired in part by Ovid's Metamorphoses, Naomi Iizuka's Polaroid Stories takes place on an abandoned pier on the outermost edge of a city, a way stop for dreamers, dealers and desperadoes, a no-man's land where runaways seek camaraderie, refuge, and escape.
