Make Music Day
For the second year, Lehman College will be tunefully observing the summer solstice with Make Music Day, a worldwide celebration of live music, with a schedule featuring nine different acts, performing from 11:00am to 8:00pm. The Make Music NY lineup at Lehman includes students, faculty, and alumni, as well as artists from around the Bronx and the NYC metro area.
11am - The 3rd Bell: World Music trio featuring professor Lee Marvin
12pm - The Traveling Jewburys: Riverdale based roots and folk music ensemble
1pm - Lehman Guitar Ensemble: student group lead by professor Robert Windbiel
2pm - Lehman G.O.A.T. Music Club: collaboration of musicians and non-musicians
3pm - Morrisania Band Project: award-winning R&B Soul collective
4pm - Big Sweater: alternative rock band based in NYC
5pm - O'Dane Whilby: singer-songwriter from the Bronx and Lehman alumnus
6pm - Enso Taves: Dominican artist based in New York and Lehman alumnus
7pm - Aether: NYC trio blending alternative rock with Andean folk music

Lehman Chamber Players Concert

The Lehman Chamber Players will perform works by Viennese composers, Mozart, Beethoven, and Brahms.

Mozart’s Sonata in B-flat Major for Violin and Piano, Beethoven’s Sonata in C Major for Cello and Piano, and two works by Brahms: Songs for Baritone, Cello and Piano, as well as his dramatic Trio in C Minor for Violin, Cello, and Piano.

Artists: critically acclaimed violinist Paul Roczek who is Professor of Violin at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria; cellist Hamilton Berry, a graduate of the Juilliard School; baritone Aram Tchobanian, director of the Joy in Singing Competition; and Diana Mittler-Battipaglia, Professor of Music and Choral Director at Lehman College.

NEW VOICES: The Student Playwright's Festival Feb. 27-March 2
Enjoy exciting new works by student playwrights from Lehman's Playwriting Lab. Directed by Stephanie Stowe.

The Festival will open on Wednesday, February 27, at 3:30 pm, and will continue on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, at 7 pm.
