The Women's Studies Program and The Urban Male Leadership Program will present the 20th Annual Student-Faculty Read In. This event celebrates black women in prose, poetry, and song. Our special guest is Ms. H. Marie Williams, author and physiologist along with members of the Lehman community.

Crafts of Caring: Take Back the Night Quilt
The mission of Take Back the Night is to create safe communities and respectful relationships through awareness events and initiatives. They seek to end sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual abuse and all other forms of sexual violence. In support, the Office of Community Engagement and New Student Programs invites you to make a square for our Take Back the Night Campus Quilt. No pre-registration required. Join us on Wednesday, March 2 from 3:30-5 p.m. in the Gillet Auditorium to get some tips about writing your Personal Statement Essay for your graduate school application. We will talk about how the statement is used by an admissions committee, how to handle potentially negative information in your record, how the essay is normally structured, and a host of other suggestions.
