38th Annual Arthur Sweeny, Jr. Memorial with Dr. Robert J. Lefkowitz
1:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Dr. Robert J. Lefkowitz, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2012, will deliver the keynote address at the 38th Annual Arthur Sweeny, Jr. Memorial Lecture and Dinner.

1:30 p.m.: Sweeny Lecture in the Recital Hall, Music Bldg., Room 306
2:30 p.m.: Awards Ceremony in the Recital Hall, Music Bldg., Room 306
3:00 p.m.: Alumni Reception in the Art Gallery, Fine Arts Bldg.
4:15 p.m.: Alumni Panel Discussion in the Recital Hall, Music Bldg., Room 306
5:00 p.m.: Reception and Dinner in the Music Bldg., Room 330 (By Reservation)

The Arthur Sweeny, Jr. Lecture is given annually, by an outstanding scientist or person in a science-related field. The occasion of the lecture is an opportunity to pay tribute to the memory of Prof. Sweeny, who was an outstanding teacher, friend, and colleague who gave so much, so willingly, to his students and to science. The lecture is also a forum for exposure to and discussion of current topics in chemistry and related fields.
