Come see the GYN for STD testing, birth control and other women's health services on Tuesdays from 9:30-2:30pm and Thursdays from 2-5pm. Come to the Student Health Center, Old Gym, Room B008 to make an appointment since a validated ID and a $5 deposit are required. Walk-ins accepted as time allows.

John Corigliano 80th Birthday Celebration Concert

Tickets are now on sale through Brown Paper Tickets for the Lehman College concert celebration of John Corigliano on the occasion of his 80th birthday, which takes place on Thursday, February 22 at 7 p.m. Tickets for this fundraising event are priced at $50, $25, and $10 for CUNY students with ID. (Free admission for Lehman students.)

In celebration of the 80th birthday of renowned composer and Distinguished Professor John Corigliano, Lehman College of The City University of New York will host a special concert that will include three acclaimed guest artists: violinist Lara St. John and pianists Martin Kennedy and Stephen Gosling. The concert is open to the public and will serve as a fundraiser for the John Corigliano Scholarship Fund. The three musicians will be performing works for violin and piano, including a work for two pianos tuned a ¼ tone apart.

One of six Distinguished Professors at Lehman College, John Corigliano is a winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Music (2001), five Grammy Awards and an Academy Award (2000). Among his most many notable compositions are Symphony No. 1 (1988); Symphony No. 2 for string orchestra (2000); Mr. Tambourine Man: Seven Poems of
Bob Dylan; the score for François Girard’s film The Red Violin (1998); and an opera entitled The Ghosts of Versailles (1991), the recording of which earned Corigliano another Grammy Award last year (in the Best Classical Recording category.)
