Litríocht na Gaeilge agus Stair na hÉireann ~ Irish Language Literature and the History of Ireland Generously funded by a grant from the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and the Irish National Lottery supported by the Ireland-United States Commission for Educational Exchange (Fulbright Commission). Additional funding provided by the CUNY Institute for Irish-American Studies, the Department of Languages & Literatures, and the Friends of LehmanGaeilge.

Irish Language Literature Symposium
Irish Language Literature and the History of Ireland Symposium (All presentations will be given in English on Friday). Papers will be presented by visiting lecturers, faculty, and students on topics related to Irish language literature and the history of Ireland. Historian Aindrias Ó Cathasaigh from Ireland will lead a special workshop in MU-313 entitled, "Exploring hidden history with the Irish Language" at 11am. Lunch will be served at noon. From 1:00 to 4:30pm, five different presenters will speak in MU-306 on topics ranging from Old Irish literature to the 1916 Rising.

CUNY Service Corps Info Session
The CUNY Service Corps gives students like you the chance to play a role in improving New York City’s future — while gaining real-work experience and getting paid. As a CUNY Service Corps student, you will become a member of a prestigious University community practicing service and building skills. You will have the opportunity to participate in interesting projects, which include the following: - Providing administrative support to hospital Vice Presidents - Helping senior citizens to use technology effectively - Designing promotional flyers to attract youth to a job training program - Teaching children about animals in a zoo - Promoting financial literacy among adults - Researching energy efficiency The application for the CUNY Service Corps is now OPEN! Attend an info session to learn more about the program. No pre-registration required. Students get bonus points added to their applications if they meet the priority deadline or attend an in-person information session.
