Event Description:
"Is Racial Equity Possible: Race and Racism in 2019" is the theme of the Center for Human Rights and Peace Studies' 9th Annual Human Rights Conference. The Conference, which is open to the public, will take place on Wednesday, March 13, from 9 am-5 pm in the Music Building's East Dining Room.

Featured speakers include Distinguished Professor Dr. Charles Mills of the Graduate Center's Philosophy Dept.; Aletha Maybank, M.D., associate commissioner of the Center for Health Equity for the NYC Dept. of Health and Mental Hygiene; Dr. Lewis Gordon, professor of philosophy at the University of Connecticut; Ivelyse Andino, CEO and Founder of Radical Health; and Distinguished Professor Dr. Patricia Reid-Meritt of the Social work and Africana Studies Dept. at Stockton University. 

This event is co-sponsored by the Departments of Philosophy and Africana Studies.
