3:30 PM - 5:00 PM | Covid-19: Airborne Transmission and Mitigation from a Physicist Perspective The Lehman College Chapter of Sigma Xi and the Lehman College Alumni Association are proud to be hosting a Sigma Xi High Tea Seminar and the second talk in the ongoing “Updates on Covid-19 Series.” The talk will be delivered by Lehman College’s own Dr. Eugene Chudnovsky, Distinguished Professor, Department of Physics and Astronomy and Co-chair of the Committee of Concerned Scientists.
Dr. Chudnovsky’s talk will concern the airborne transmission of COVID-19 caused by the location of spreaders, humidity, and airflow, as well as features of mitigated epidemic.
While a vaccine is on the way, slowing the virus’s transmission via mask wearing, social distancing and provision of adequate ventilation remain important for the foreseeable future as we are unfortunately in the second wave of this pandemic. | |
