Other Details: The Lehman College and Community Chorus will present its annual free Winter Concert on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 2:30 PM in the Lehman Concert Hall. Directed by Lehman Professor Diana Mittler-Battipaglia and accompanied by the Lehman Symphony Orchestra, the 120 member chorus will perform Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, shorter works by Mendelssohn, Rutter, and Handel; seasonal multicultural selections; and a medley Johann Strauss' Die Fledermaus. In addition, the program will feature Sarasate’s virtuosic Gypsy Airs for solo violin and orchestra, as well as a holiday sing-along for the audience. Members of the chorus and soloists include Lehman students, alumni, faculty, staff, and a broad selection of residents from many communities in the Bronx and the greater New York area.
A senior college of the City University of New York, Lehman is located at Goulden Avenue and Bedford Park Boulevard in the northwest Bronx and is accessible by bus as well as the #4 and “D” subway lines.
