Event Description: A poetry reading from Robert Farrell and Salita Bryant.
Robert Farrell's poems have appeared in Posit, Brooklyn Review, NOON: journal of the short poem, REAL: Regarding Arts and Letters, Santa Fe Literary Review, and Leviathan: A Journal of Melville Studies. His chapbook, Meditations on the Body [Ghostbird Press, 2017], in the words of poet and scholar Kristen Case, brings language to the feeling of thinking or to the thought of feeling, a luminous in-between where what is also speaks, and where words feel bodily, lived-in. Farrell is Associate Professor and Coordinator of Information Literacy and Assessment at Lehman College.
Salita S. Bryant is Interim Associate Dean, School of Arts and Humanities, and Associate Professor of English at Lehman. She is author of Addie Bundren is Dead. Bryant has won: Spoon River Poetry Review Editors’ Prize; Midwest Writing Center’s Off Channel Poetry Contest; Iron Horse Literary Review Discovered Voices Award; Connecticut Poetry Society Award; Boulevard’s Emerging Poets Award; North American Review Hearst Prize; South Carolina Review; MacGuffin Award; New Letters Poetry; and recognition from Atlanta Review International. Salita has been nominated for three Pushcart Prizes. Corpus Delicti is currently in revision.
