The 20^th anniversary celebration of the “Day of Percussion,” an annual joint recital with the Lehman College Percussion Ensemble and the Royal Irish Academy of Music Percussion Ensemble, will take place on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Music Building on the Lehman College campus. Each group will present several works, and then the two groups will perform together for the finale. Jérôme Goldschmidt, an award-winning percussionist with an international résumé, will be a guest performer.

Following the recital there will be two workshops / master classes: a drum set clinic at 3:30 p.m. led by Joe McCarthy, a Latin Grammy award winner and leader of the Afro Bop Alliance Big Band; and a multimedia jazz production and performance at 4:30 p.m. by vibraphonist-percussionist Allan Molnar, lecturer at Lehman College, director of the Lehman College Jazz Band and executive and artistic director of the Johnny Pacheco Latin Music and Jazz Festival at Lehman College.
