Lehman College and Community Chamber Orchestra: Changing Times Concert
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

The Lehman College and Community Chamber Orchestra will give its winter performance entitled Changing Times on Wednesday, December 13, at 7:00 pm in the Hearth Room, on the 3rd floor of the Music Building. The public is invited; admission is free, but all donations are gratefully accepted.

Directed by Professor Kyunghun Kim, the performance will feature Beethoven’s, Symphony No.1, an early work of his but highly regarded as very characteristic of his style. Renowned pianist and Lehman faculty member Molly Morkosky will play the lyrical 2nd movement of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.20 accompanied by the orchestra, and rounding out the program will be the Prelude to Verdi’s opera “La Traviata” in which the composer’s melodic charm and beauty shine.

Winter Session Visiting Student Walk-In Registration Day (Multi-Day Event)
All Day

Students interested in enrolling at Lehman College as Visiting Students for the Winter 2015 semester are encouraged to participate in our Walk-In Application/Registration days. This opportunity provides students with the ability to apply and register for courses during the Winter Intersession. Winter Session runs from 1/2 - 1/23.
Transfer Coaching Tabling Session
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Location: Carman Cafeteria

The Transfer Coaching Program offers student outreach sessions, in the form of tabling, throughout the academic semesters in different locations around campus. During these sessions, students can sign-up to be on the mailing list for future workshops and events, ask questions about Lehman, and learn more about valuable student resources such as ePortfolio. Transfer and non-transfer students are welcome!

The Lehman College Jazz Combos will perform contemporary arrangements for small to mid-sized ensembles in a variety of Jazz styles.

The Lehman Percussion Ensemble, directed by Professor Morris Lang, gives its fall 2014 recital entitled Percussion Influences From Around the World: Cuba Africa, South America, Indonesia.
CMP 230 Review Session
3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Location: Gillet Hall, Room 217

CMP 230 coach, Naralys Batista, will provide peer academic support by reviewing lecture material and answering students' questions. Ms. Batista works with CMP 230 faculty and students to improve study and test-taking skills as well as time management, goal-setting, communication, and resource development; equipping students with transferable skills necessary for academic success. No registration necessary.

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Lehman students will learn effective proofreading strategies and practice using them with their own work. Please bring in a sample of your own writing to work with. To register and for workshop location, call the Academic Center for Excellence at 718-960-8175.
