End Date: 12/3/2012End Time: 2:00 PM

Event Description:
This fall, the Lehman Teaching & Learning Commons will offer a series of workshops on specific topics in cognitive research and best instructional practices. The workshops will build on the Spring 2012 new faculty seminar, “Why Don’t Students Like School?” that explored Daniel T. Willingham’s research and advice on applying cognitive science research to teaching and learning. The workshops will provide opportunities for faculty members to design their own assessment tools and to discuss their teaching successes and challenges with their peers across disciplines.
In December, we will discuss "Developing Metacognition Skills."
The fall faculty workshops meet in Carman Hall, Rm. 263.
