Panelists include Dr. Moira Sauane of the Biology Dept. faculty and Dr. Kayla Weiss of the Einstein College of Medicine.

Event Image Lehman Percussion Ensemble: World Percussion Influences, Cuba!

The Lehman Percussion Ensemble, directed by Professor Victor Rendon, gives its fall 2016 performance:
WORLD PERCUSSION INFLUENCES, featuring works by classical and contemporary composers, as well as from the folk music tradition. Special emphasis - Cuba!
Admission is free and open to the public. All are welcome.
Biological Sciences Open House + Seminar on How Plant Biology is Helping to Solve Health Problems

You are invited to the NSS's first Biology Open House. We think that all students can benefit from research experience, and we are excited to share our research training activities with you. The Open House on Thursday, December 1 in GI226/Sc1405 will showcase the research being conducted by professors and their students. The Biology faculty have been providing hands on training for students in problem solving, scientific literature review, and creation of new knowledge.

 

At the open house, you will hear our award winning faculty and students present their work and our alumni at Columbia University medical school share their experience. Additionally, you will become familiar with faculty and student research by visiting their posters and can go on a guided tour of our research facility that is closed to the general public. We will also hand out raffle tickets for free gifts.

 

The event will end with free dinner for all. Please RSVP at: biology.department@lehman.cuny.edu with your name and any suggestions or requests to indicate that you plan to attend the event so we can order the right amount of food for all.

Seminar: How Global Health Problems Are Being Solved Through Plant Biology
