2023 Commencement Ceremony


We’re pleased to announce that Lehman College’s 2023 Commencement ceremony will be held in person on campus on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. 

We look forward to celebrating the hard work of the Class of ’23 this spring! If your Degree was awarded in Fall '22, Winter '23, Spring '23 or Summer '23, you are eligible to participate in the June 1st ceremony.

World Percussion Influences: Caribbean and South America

The Lehman Percussion Ensemble under the direction of Professor Victor Rendón, will perform Latin percussion works from the Caribbean and South America, including the Cuban rumba-guaguancó, bembé, and batá, among other styles.

A wide range of folkloric and modern percussion instruments will be featured, including
congas/tumbadoras, timbales, drumset, bongó, clave, maracas, shekere, güiro, and various other percussion instruments.

Special guest artist, Wilson "Chembo" Corniel
