Event Description:
The Department of Music, Multimedia, Theatre, and Dance presents a
Virtual Holiday Concert
with the Lehman College and Community Band, directed by Professor Alan Hollander
featuring favorite holiday selections from previously recorded live concerts, as well as a new virtual recording of Sousa's Dauntless Battalion March, dedicated to all first responders, frontline workers, and educators.

The Lehman College & Community Band celebrates the season with a virtual concert, featured on the Lehman Music Program’s YouTube channel throughout the month of December.

Led by Professor Alan Hollander, the performance features holiday selections from previously recorded live concerts including “Troika” from the Lieutenant Kije Suite by Sergei Prokofiev, perennial holiday favorites Christmas Festival and Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson, and a setting of Clement Moore’s classic poem ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas narrated by special guest Dr. James Mahon, Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities.
Rounding out the program will be a new virtual recording of Sousa’s Dauntless Battalion march made by the band members from their homes, dedicated to all first responders, frontline workers, and educators. |
