Event Description: Institutional Advancement and Leonard Lief Library invite you to celebrate the Centennial Book Launch and Signing of Bronx Faces and Voices: Sixteen Stories of Courage and Community, by Emita Brady Hill and Janet Butler Munch. Bronx Faces and Voices presents 16 individuals sharing personal candid stories of their lives in the Bronx from its early glory days through troubled years of arson, crime, and flight in the 1970s and 1980s, in anticipation of a better and more prosperous future. Emita Hill is Chancellor Emeritus of Indiana University Kokomo. She spent 20 years at Lehman College in various roles including Department Chair, Dean and Vice President, as well as Founding Director of the Bronx Regional History Project. Janet Munch is Associate Professor and Lehman’s Special Collections Librarian. She previously worked at Bronx County Historical Society. |
