2:00 AM - 3:30 AM | Concert - Lehman Chamber Players
The Lehman Chamber Players will kick off their musical season at Lehman College with a performance of works by Schubert, Dubois,and Dvorak on Sunday, October 5, at 2 p.m. The public is invited to the free concert, which will be held in the Recital Hall on the third floor of the Music Building. Seating is limited.
The program will include the lively Adagio and Rondo by Schubert, the rarely performed Quintet for Strings, Oboe, and Piano by Dubois; and the melodious Piano Quartet in D Major opus 23 by Dvorak.
Members of the Chamber Players include critically acclaimed violinist Anton Miller and violist Rita Porfiris, professors of violin and viola at New York University and the Hartt College of Music in Connecticut; cellist, Hamilton Berry; and oboist Alan Hollander, and pianist Diana Mittler-Battipaglia, both professors of music at Lehman College. | Music Building - (306 (Recital Hall)) |
11:00 AM - 6:00 PM | NYC Mayor’s Cup Cross County Championship NYC & Company Inc is looking for hard working volunteers who would like to gain hands-on experience in the sports industry. The NYC Mayor’s Cup will feature the City's best high school cross country athletes from the Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL), Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) and independent schools (AAIS) as they compete for the title of "Best in the City.”
