The series coincides with and is conceptually aligned with Lehman College Art Gallery’s spring 2023 exhibition, Queer Love: Affection and Romance in Contemporary Art.

12:30 PM - 1:30 PM | Lecture/ Demonstration: Luminous Ragas Part II: Music of the Hindustani (North Indian) Classical Tradition
This music is passed from generation to generation, from master to disciple, as a living oral tradition. It combines the classicism of traditional repertoire, fixed melodic forms, and precise intonation with improvisation and spontaneous creation. Bansuri flutist Steve Gorn, and tabla percussionist Dibyarka Chatterjee present a 2-part event: recital on October 1, and lecture/demonstration on October 3.

6:00 PM - 7:30 PM | Mastering the Art of Interviewing Develop an understanding of the interview process, the importance of professional attire and follow-up guidelines. You will also become familiar with typical interview questions that employers may ask in an interview, strategies for responding and have an opportunity to practice.
