The Student Health Center will offer free consultations with the nutritionist on the following schedule during the fall.

Food Day "Big Apple Crunch"

The Lehman Sustainability Council, Student Government Association (SGA) and Student Nutrition Club are hosting Lehman Food Day 2014 and will have a "Big Apple Crunch" at 12:30 p.m. and again at 1:30 p.m. Come out and take part as we take a bite out of the big apple together in unison for the "crunch heard round Lehman" to celebrate healthy eating. Apples supplied by Metropolitan Food Service.
WOMEN STUDIES PROGRAM LECTURE SERIES FALL 2014

Susan A. Dumais, Associate Professor, Department of Sociology "Mothers' Education and Children's Outcomes: Does Being A First-Generation College-Goer Matter?" Summary: Past research in the sociology of education has treated parents' educational attainment as uniform by level, so that parents who were first-generation college goers are considered equivalent to college-educated parents whose own parents also attended college. In this quantitative study, I compare mothers who were the first in their families to attend college to mothers whose families had a tradition of college-going.
Craft of Caring: Trick or Treat Bags

Come and decorate Trick or Treat bags for Halloween to be donated to the Lehman College Child Care Center. The children will travel around campus on Halloween to trick-or treat with bags that you have created! Sponsored by the Office of Community Engagement & New Student Programs

Social Security: Benefits and Work

If you, or someone you know, is currently receiving benefits and would like to return to work but does not know how it will affect their benefits, this workshop can help! A representative from WIPA (Work Incentives Planning and Assistance) will discuss various strategies to help you transition to work within the benefits system.

An elevator pitch (or elevator speech) is a short summary used to quickly and simply define you and your promise of value to an organization/professional. Come prepared to write your own elevator pitch and role play with peers and professionals.
Information Session for Education Leadership M.S.E.d/ADVCT

The Office of Graduate Admissions hosts regular, program-specific information sessions for many of our graduate programs. Our Graduate Information Sessions are designed to highlight the benefits and value of a Lehman College graduate degree and provide prospective applicants with an overview of our graduate programs. It is also an opportunity to meet with faculty and learn more about the application process, tuition costs, and transfer credits.
