11:00 AM - 12:00 PM CUNY Consortium on Food and Housing Insecurity with Dr. Sara Goldrick-Rab
Join us for the release of Dr. Sara Goldrick-Rab's latest major study of food and housing insecurity at CUNY, followed by a discussion on introducing better policies and practices to address basic needs security across the University. 

This event is free and open to the public. 

11 am-12 pm CUNY staff and faculty discussions with Dr. Sara Goldrick-Rab (Music Bldg., East Dining Rm.)
1-2 pm Keynote Presentation (Livestream); Carman Hall, Multimedia Center, C-36  (Limited seating available)

Dr. Goldrick-Rab is professor of Higher Education Policy and Sociology at Temple University, and the Founder of the Hope Center for College, Community, and Justice in Philadelphia, as well as the Wisconsin HOPE Lab. She describes herself as a scholar-activist whose mission is to "identify novel approaches to making higher education the accessible and affordable place that families want and need it to be."

To this end, she has led more than a dozen experimental, longitudinal, and mixed-methods studies, examining the efficacy and distributional implications of financial aid policies, welfare reform, transfer practices, and a range of interventions aimed at increasing college attainment among marginalized populations.

Calling all Lehman faculty from all disciplines! The funding sources that have sustained many of our projects and programs in years past are becoming scarce and the need to secure external funding to support new or existing projects is ever more pressing. Writing grant proposals can be a daunting task, so don't do it alone. Join a proposal interest group at the Proposal Pot Luck and  let's tackle Grantsmanship as a team! We will introduce a new model for Grantsmanship at Lehman that is based on collaboration. Whether you are a seasoned grant writer or a novice, you can contribute to a competitive proposal! So dust off that idea or take that program off the shelf and let's get it funded!

This workshop is Part 2 of a series where participants will learn how to answer traditional and behavioral questions. You will become familiar with typical interview questions that employers may use in an interview, strategies for responding, and an opportunity to practice.
